We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop learning and practicing experiences. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
On a day-to-day basis, an Instructional Designer typically performs the following tasks:
Analyze Needs: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and create goals and objectives.
Conduct Research: Conduct research on instructional methods, learning theories, and technologies to inform the design process.
Design Instruction: Develop instructional strategies that align with learning objectives, including selecting appropriate learning activities, assessments, and multimedia elements.
Create Content: Design and develop instructional materials, such as e-learning modules, presentations, videos, job aids, and assessments.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Work closely with SMEs and other relevant stakeholders to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance in instructional materials.
Develop Storyboards: Create storyboards or prototypes to outline the structure, flow, and interactions of the instructional materials.
Incorporate Instructional Design Models: Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to inform the design and development process.
Utilize Educational Technologies: Use authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), multimedia platforms, and other educational technologies to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
Conduct Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on instructional materials, ensuring they meet instructional design standards and are error-free.
Evaluate and Revise: Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials through assessments and user feedback, and make revisions based on identified improvements.
Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with graphic designers, multimedia specialists, project managers, and other relevant professionals to ensure successful implementation of instructional materials.
Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in instructional design through attending conferences, reading research papers, and participating in professional development activities.
